In Bareilly Cantonment MES has been supplying, distributing and managing Electricity Network in the Entire Station including Bungalow Areas and Civil Areas. In the recent years there has been an acute crisis of Electricity for the residents of Civil Areas, Bungalow Areas and even for C.F. Properties/Assets located in Cantonment. The local Army formations as well as MES establishment have been insisting to pursue the UPPCL for transfer and to augment/take over Electricity Supply of Civil Areas & C.F. Properties.

Accordingly, following persistent efforts, the matter has been resolved by way of creation of independent 33/11 KVA Power Sub-Station and related infrastructure through UPPCL to facilitate/augment electricity supply for civil areas and Cantt. Board properties.

Since electricity infrastructure of adequate capacity is now available, the residents of civil areas are being given proper power connections from the UPPCL and billing/electricity charges are being directly realized by the office of Executive Engineer, Electricity Urban Distribution Division-I (EUDD-I), Bareilly.

As such requisite information regarding Electricity connections and Billing pertaining to civil areas of Cantonment may be obtained from the office of Executive Engineer, Electricity Urban Distribution Division-I (EUDD-I), Bareilly.

Presently the Cantonment Board is maintaining 200 street light points in civil areas, public places and gardens and also installed two High Mast lights (16 metre) at Gandhi Chowk and at the intersection of Station Road, Badaun Road near CSD Depot.
