Chowks
(a.) Gandhi Chowk :

B.I. Bazar Chowk has been developed as Gandhi Chowk to pay tribute to the father of the Nation with the installation and unveiling of the Statue of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2000.

(b.) Virangana Chowk :

The Chowk has been developed to pay the tribute to the valiant Heroin who made Supreme sacrifice during the India's first war of independence. A statue of 'Maharani Lakshmi Bai' was installed and unveiled during the Women Empowerment Year 2002 by His Excellency Hon'ble Vishnu Kant Shastri, the then Governor of U.P.

(c.) Shaheed Chowk

The Chowk near UB area Provost Unit has been developed to pay the tribute to the freedom fighters by way of installation of the statues of valiant Heroes Bhagat Singh, Raj-Guru, Sukhdev and Chandra Shekhar Azad who made the supreme sacrifice during the freedom struggle. The surroundings of the chowk have been beautifully landscaped and given an antique look by rockery, side walls etc.

Beautification Measures
The vacant pieces of land along the road sides at various locations have been aesthetically developed with the provision of greenery, rockery etc. near the Pachpera Chowki and HQ, UB area, Signal Mess etc.
Upgradation Of Cremation Ground

This office has undertaken the upgradation of the Cremation ground with plantation, display of messages for environmental awareness and construction of the Fire-Brick Sheds, floors for cremation purpose. The statue of Lord Shiva has also been installed at the cremation ground.

Retro Reflective Signage

The Board has provided two number overhead structure signage, one at NH24 (Lucknow-Delhi Highway) near Nakatia over bridge and the other at Badaun Road near Lal Phatak with provision of a cantilever signage near 883 AT Battalion. Adequate number of shoulder mounted signages have also been installed to denote the direction and locations of the prominent structures/establishments etc..

Swarn Kamal 'Community Hall'

The Community Hall Premises situated in the safe and secured Cantonment area consist of a Banquet Hall, huge entrance lobby, well located reception, Exclusive rooms with attached toilets and supporting conveniences which have been created for arranging matrimonial functions and social activities including Corporate Seminars, Cultural & Musical Events, Party Games, Get-togethers and other Social Events etc. The Majestic building having an imposing facade and landscaped area is conveniently approachable from the residential areas of the Cantonment and the city.

It is pertinent to mention that the aforesaid Complex was inaugurated on 11 July, 2002 by Shri Ram Naik, the then Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India in the gracious presence of Shri Chaman Lal Gupta, Hon'ble Raksha Rajya Mantri and Shri Santosh Gangwar, Hon'ble MOS, Dr. (Smt.) Veena Maitra, DGDE, CMD GAIL and also a large number of invitees and distinguished guests.

The above premises are available for the bonafide residents of the Cantonment and Public at large for holding matrimonial functions, social events etc. on payment of the prescribed charges as given below :

The above charges will remain effective till the contract to run & operate and maintain the above premises through a Private agency/entrepreneur is finalized and approved by Cantt. Board/competent authority.

Shahnai Barat Ghar

The Shahnai Barat Ghar Premises situated near the Sadar Bazar Vegetable Market has been created to meet requirement of Middle class public and also lower income Group/ Segment of the society for conducting Matrimonial functions etc.

The Board has fixed reasonable charges for booking the premises which are presently Rs.4,000/- for a Day and the intending persons and institutions may avail this facility on "First come First served" basis by way of depositing the above charges and the refundable security amount in the Office of Cantonment Board.
