The new hospital complex has been inaugurated on 04th Feb, 2005 by His Excellency Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Hon'ble Vice President of India in the gracious presence of Shri Kiran Pal Singh, Cabinet Minister of Govt. of UP, Shri Santosh Gangwar, Hon'ble Member of Parliament from Local Parliamentary Constituency, Shri O.P. Mishra, Director, Defence Estates and Maj. Gen. B.W. Kelson, VSM, GOC, UB area amongst other Army and Senior Civil dignitaries.
The Cantonment General Hospital new Building and well laid out premises have been aesthetically created to cater adequate space for indoor patients, outdoor patients, Separate Female & Male Wards, Doctors and Specialists Chambers, Adm. Section, Dispensary, OTs, Delivery Rooms, Radiology, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental, Paeditrics, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Orthopedic, Surgery Deptt. Isolation Wards and allied facilities etc. and to facilitate efficient functioning and availability of round the clock medical facilities in the complex.
As the Cantt Board has deficient resources and inadequate infrastructure as also insufficient strength of Hospital Staff, the involvement of Private Enterprises/Agencies was proposed to equip, run and operate Health & Medical Services of the Cantonment General Hospital. Accordingly this office has implemented & executed Service Contract in R/o the provision of all requisite amenities/infrastructure by the prospective Enterprise/Agency along with their Doctors, Paramedical staff, Equipments etc. at their own cost.
In the newly created Hospital complex the CGH Unit is functioning through Cantt. Board's own set up and specialized, Modern Health care services have been made available through the service provider M/s N.S. Surgical & Hospital Equipments, Civil Lines, Bareilly. It is expected that this concept will go a long way in meeting the public aspirations regarding availability of specialized, upgraded medical services for the civilians within Cantonment Area. As such further streamlining of the concept & set up is under consideration. |
